outside the palace inside the museum cats & chairs
we begin with DOOR and door, views from a walk to the shops
blue-line metro to the National Museum and Murabba Palace, residence of King Abdulaziz 1939 – 1953, now a centre for historical culture, and home in Riyadh of the Turquoise Mountain initiative founded by King Charles III in 2006:

via Al Watan Park:
behind the tower, a children's theme park, which perhaps I will revisit. In fact, I considered revisiting the museum today, to sit in the park outside, with a book perhaps. . . mentally tracing the route I would take, I realised that the way I experienced it this first time, in the order of these pictures, was not in space but time. The organisation of the space and therefore the route in it I might take on my return came later.

around the palace:

- the odd sound in this place of a flurry as a pigeon changed place

these photos organise space according to time, or space, as it is first, time
outside the museum, a water feature with a rope-pontoon I used to cross. . .

inside objects belonging to quite other themes, an elephant and civilisations, the Ubaid, a barbary lion:

- the Haddaj Well of Tayma has been reconstructed
